Christmas Cookies

For those of you who know my personality. Jason was in charge of decorating the cookies and I did a GREAT job of not telling the boys how to decorate them. I will now have to replenish all my sprinkles before next year. Eric thought if a little bit of sprinkles is great a lot is much better. Joel just wanted to mix everything together and eat it with his fingers.

Hollywild

Last night we took the boys to Hollywild Animal Park to see the lights and the animals. After a hour and half of waiting in line we got a picture of Eric feeding the deer. It took us 4 hours to get through the place. If you plan on going, go early and during the week.

New Nephew

My new nephew was born today. My brother, John and his wife Cindy have a brand new little boy to add to their family. He was born after 10 am today and weighed 9 pounds 12 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. Mommy and baby and doing fine. Big Brother Daniel will get to go and see his new brother tomorrow. He is very beautiful if I do say so my self. Hopefully John and Cindy will agree on a name soon. Until then we have Baby boy Martin.

Christmas Pictures

Today I took the boys downtown to find a great Christmas Tree for a photo opportunity. I thought you might like to see the ones that didn't make the cut. It is very hard to get two boys to smile at the same time and keep their hands off of one another.

Most of these pictures are taken in the Hyatt Regency downtown Greenville. The festival of trees are really beautiful.

Black Friday

Mom and I braved the crowds at JC Penny's early this morning. We were there at 430. Jason could not believe that we would get up that early. We really got some good deals. I could not believe the quantity of people who were already standing in lines for stores that did not open for several hours. I got a new pre-lit Christmas Tree. Here is a picture of one of my "helpers" decorating it. I can't believe it is not even December and my house is already decorated for Christmas. The boys are so excited and have been pouring over all the Toy catalogs that come in the house. We are going to take them to see Santa while Jason is home and to see the Roper Mountain Holiday Lights tomorrow night.

Joel got a little wet at the water fountain.

Daniel had a great time jumping with his cousins.

Green Frog

To celebrate National Education Week, Eric's school had a character parade. The book that Mrs Fisher choose was "Brown Bear, What do you see?" by Eric Carle . Eric's character was Green Frog. All grades had a parade all around the school dressed as their favorite book or book character. It was so cute, those children had such imaginations. Here is what Eric looked like as green frog.

Halloween 2007

This Pictures needs no explanation!!

We had a great Halloween this year. Daniel joined Eric and Joel trick or treating. We walked around our neighborhood and then went to the church for Trunk or Treat. Eric wanted to go fast and his at many houses as quick as possible, Joel could say trick or treat but would forget to open his bag and Daniel loved all the decorations. This is my favorite picture from the night.

Here is a link to the rest of the pictures from last night.

2nd Annual A.N.T. Weekend

We have just returned from the 2nd Annual A.N.T. retreat at the Alexander Farm. A great time was had by all. The children were lucky enough to be there when one of the goats had a baby. They fished in Mr. Jim's pond, watched movies and roasted/burned marshmallo's. All of the adults will never take indoor plumbing for granted again. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

First Blog Ever

I have created this blog to keep family and friends updated on what is going on in the Newton house.

Here is a recent photo of Jason, Eric and Joel.

Jason finished his first ever 40 mile trail run this weekend. He finished with a time of 9 hours 20 min. We are so proud of him. Here is a link to the race details.
